It has been two weeks since I successfully completed my sixth year program in Instructional Technologies and Digital Media Literacies at the University of New Haven. It has also been two weeks since I introduced my new name to this blog, partially in an attempt to not just let this blog die out at the end of my studies.
So, two weeks have passed, school has started, life has been hectic, and I haven’t been writing. Perhaps it was fate that led me to a tweet about the 30-day blogging challenge from the te@chthought blog. I’ve hesitated, hemmed and hawed, and procrastinated – until now. Two hours left in day one of the challenge and I’ve decided to give it a try. I will attempt to follow the schedule and respond to a new prompt each day for the month of September. In the process, I hope to expand my PLN and learn from other educators. I also hope to get over any residual fear I have of blogging. If I write every day for thirty days, surely I will be more confident at the end of this. One of my biggest fears has been finding the time to write. My plan is to write as quickly and effectively as possible, and focus on short, to-the-point responses to the prompts.
I’m looking forward to seeing where this leads me. I haven’t written my first post yet, but it will follow before midnight tonight!
