I’m currently in a five-bedroom light-filled beautiful home on a lake watching the sunset over a hill beyond the green Irish fields, not believing how fortunate I am to travel like this.

Home Away from Home
The home I’m sharing for eight days with family and travel partner Vicky Ann costs us nothing thanks to Home Exchange. This is my 51st exchange, which includes times I stayed at other people’s homes as well as times I’ve opened my home to like-minded travelers. Home Exchange has changed the way I travel. Just last week we were at another home in Iceland.

In the past two years, I have stayed in homes for free in the US, Canada, Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Iceland, and Ireland. There are Home Exchange options just about anywhere in the world!
Try It, You Might Like It
Do you want to learn more about Home Exchange and how you can travel like me? Sign up for my Home Exchange Meetup which will take place on Friday, June 13 from 5:00-6:00 pm at my home in Westerly.

At the meetup, I will share how Home Exchange works as well as tips for getting started. I can also answer any questions you have about Home Exchange and how to travel more cheaply without giving up comfort.
The benefits of Home Exchange go far beyond earning free places to stay – and it’s as safe a way to travel as any more traditional methods. (I’ve even brought my grandkids on Home Exchanges.)

The Fine Print
Full disclosure: I will receive guest points for hosting an event. You are not signing up for Home Exchange by doing this, just signing up to say that you intend to join my meetup on June 13. However, your attendance is not actually required for me to receive the bonus points. However, if by chance you do decide to join Home Exchange, there are bonus points in it for you since you signed up for my event.
Of course, anyone who signs up also has the option to attend the gathering on June 13 at my house (details will be sent to those who do sign up). If you cannot attend (or are just signing up to help me get points), I’m also available to answer your travel and Home Exchange questions at any time. I can even help you plan your next trip!

Thank you for considering this opportunity to help me earn free points for future travel and to learn more about how you can travel like Tim!
Thank you to all for your interest in my travels, even if you can’t sign up! It’s great to hear your comments and to just know that you’re following along.
Update: There is a limit to 20 people who can sign up. If you cannot sign up but would like to still know more about Home Exchange, just send me an email or comment below. Thanks!

Hi Tim,
Thank you for sharing your wonderful travel adventures. My sister and I are interested in learning more about Home Exchange, as we are planning to take an extended trip in the summer of 2027. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to attend your Meetup, but would love to receive any information you have to share. So glad you and Vicky Ann are still seeing the world together!
Thank you so much,
Betty
