It’s like you never left. I was just telling Maya and Tony about your finger-licking plate-cleaning routine at the end of every meal. You would have some competition with Tony!

Lovely words and thoughts Tim; I’ll try to keep them in mind as I go about my day. The pictures are spectacular.

I was so struck by this post. Recently I was going through old photos left behind by a family member that passed away and it was the people in the photos and not the places that I wanted to know more about. Just loved hearing about the special people you have met and how they have become instant friends.
    Just beautiful.

This post was so enriching with many thought provoking and wise statements. I believe people are put in our lives for a purpose, there are few accidents. Your experiences are unique and interesting. The goodness of those you have met reminds me there is so much good in our world. I am tired of the “news” and look forward to your “news”. Keep it coming.

So happy to be sharing some good news. One goal of mine when I go back is to watch less news.

    Tim,
Your post confirms my typical spontaneous desire to talk to strangers while traveling. David and the boys refer to my skill as that of a secret CIA operative. I can get people to give me so much information about them in the shortest amount of time. Even for that short amount of time I usually feel that that person has helped me. I have been able to. I befriended an older couple on the train ride from Fairbanks, Alaska to Denali. Their camera broke and I offered to share my photos with them of the trip. I became their land and cruise photographer. Six years later, we still talk on the phone and write letters. They are well in their 80’s now, and still travel as much as they can. You continue to inspire me. I can’t travel right now, but I’m making a long list of places I would like to see thanks to you.

Yes, I remember that about you! I’m learning to be more like that, but somehow it’s easier to do when traveling.
